Out In The Blue is a change in direction for Jimmy, signalling that he's had time to reflect on what's important in his life. Open heart surgery, and the very real prospect of death, was the catalyst for Jimmy to write this album, and it's the acheivement of a lifetime.
A rootsy, soul-tinged record, it's full of sincere ballads, rockabilly shuffle and flat-out rock n roll. Intimate, wise and blessed with an iconic voice that's as powerful as ever, Out In The Blue is undoubtedly one of Jimmy's best.
