Artist:
When it comes to good yarns, the story of how The Sunny Cowgirls got their break is a peach. Sisters Celeste and Sophie Clapburn were raised in the regions before taking on jillaroo jobs near Gunnedah so they could study at the CMAA College of Country Music in Tamworth, where they were discovered by Adam Brand. And the Sunny Cowgirls were off to a flying start – in their beloved red ute – with their stunning debut album, Little Bit Rusty.
Now they’re back bigger and better with their second offering, Long Five Days. These girls know about hard work and also about playing hard, as you can tell on tracks like Cuttin' Up B&S Style and Drinking Down Our Pay. But the girls have their romantic side; the album is infused with a tangible longing for love and real romance.
