Having already given us two multi-award winning albums, it’s no surprise that down-to-earth country girl Dianna Corcoran has packed her third release, Keep Breathing, with quality.
Little Bit Crazy (2003) marked the emergence of a fresh country star, earning Dianna a Golden Guitar for New Talent of the Year. Then There’s Me turned out to be even better, and saw the singer-songwriter win the prestigious Female Artist of the Year gong at the Australian Country Music Awards. Impressively, she’s managed to take another step up with Keep Breathing, which was produced by two-time Grammy winner Rebecca Lynn Howard.
Thanks to Dianna’s polished delivery, tracks like the opening single Thank You For Cheating On Me and the catchy Wrong Girl demand to be sung out loud. Throw in a nod to tradition on offerings like the banjo-infused Rocky Hill and the sort of delightful yodelling that makes Here’s Your Damn Song such a highlight, and it’s clear why this album has garnered such rave reviews.
