Get set for heavy metal on the screen and on the soundtrack as Robert Downey Jr. and AC/DC rock Iron Man 2.
Sure to be one of the biggest movies of 2010, the sequel to the original action blockbuster needed big guns to fire the soundtrack, and when it comes to rock, there's no band bigger – or hotter – than Acca Dacca right now.
Iron Man 2 culls 15 of the band's heaviest-hitting tracks from ten of their studio albums recorded between 1976 and 2008, including the Grammy Award-winning Black Ice. It's the first time that AC/DC have licensed their music for a movie since Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive, but the synergy between their pumping sound and the thrilling movie franchise was too obvious to ignore.
As co-chairman of Columbia Records Steve Barnett says, "The music really does underscore the high energy and excitement of the movie."
