Since his Man With A Memory album made him the toast of critics and fans alike in 2002, Joe Nichols has renowned as the man dedicated to keeping the traditional sound of Country Music alive. He's hit 2006 running with his third album – aptly titled III. This album features the US Billboard #1 track, Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off, a genuinely funny song and music with an engagingly quirky character.
In fact, there's character aplenty throughout the whole release. There's an appealing grit to be found on straight-ahead country tracks like Honky Tonk Girl, or the melancholy Steve Earle number My Old Friend The Blues, and even the more subdued Talk Me Out Of Tampa. The artistic momentum is definitely with Nichols for a third time.
