Biography:
Deborah Rodriguez's first book, The Kabul Beauty School, was a non-fiction bestseller around the world. But the publication caused controversy in Afghanistan and she was forced to flee the country, leaving behind her Afghani husband.
She spent five years teaching and later directing the Kabul Beauty School in Afghanistan. She also owned the Oasis Salon and the Cabul Coffee House.
