She has also penned a book of poetry and several children’s books.
In 1998, Danielle wrote a memoir called His Bright Light, about the life and death of her son, Nicholas Traina, who suffered from bipolar disorder. Proceeds of this book, which reached The New York Times Non Fiction Bestseller List, were used to found the Nick Traina Foundation, which supports organisations that provide treatments for mental illnesses.
