Carte Blanche has been commissioned by Ian Fleming’s estate. Like Fleming, Deaver takes inspiration from exotic locations around the world so he decided to set this book in Dubai.

Biography:
A former journalist and attorney, Jeffery Deaver is an international number-one bestselling author. His novels have appeared on bestseller lists around the world. The Times newspaper called him "the best psychological thriller writer around."

One of his thrillers about Lincoln Rhyme, The Bone Collector, became a blockbuster film starring Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Two of his other books, A Maiden's Grave and The Devil's Teardrop, were also made into movies.
