Biography:
Danielle Steel is one of the most popular authors writing today. Her books have been published in 47 countries and in 28 languages – and every one of them has become a bestseller.

An American with strong ties to France, Danielle has led a dramatic life. She has been married five times. In her books, she generally deals with real life issues, like illness, death, loss, family crises and relationships, and frequently writes about historical themes. She has also penned a book of poetry and several children’s books.

In 1998, Danielle wrote a memoir called His Bright Light, about the life and death of her son, Nicholas Traina, who suffered from bipolar disorder. Proceeds of this book, which reached The New York Times Non Fiction Bestseller List, were used to found the Nick Traina Foundation, which supports organisations that provide treatments for mental illnesses.

Danielle wrote her first book at 19. Some of her bestselling fiction titles include Family Ties, Big Girl, Southern Lights, Matters Of The Heart, One Day At A Time, Rogue and Honor Thyself.
